Advent and..

We lit the 4th and last candle today...it isn´t many day until Christmas now and so much to do!
Ah well, can´t stress too much.



I wanted to show you something that I took part in on TT too. You create a Christmas ornament and send it to your secret swap partner and then you recive an ornament yourself from someone else.
My ornament arrived safely in USA and I am happy to say that Pat loved it. I am still waiting to get my parcel, I can´t wait to get it. I hope you like the ornament, it was so much fun to make!

So nice...

Something that we in the nordic countries like to drink in december is Glögg. It is like mulled wine and some of the ingredients are red wine, sugar and spices such as cinnamon and ginger.
It should be warmed up to drink and after a walk in the snow it is so nice to heat this up and drink with raisins and almonds. A little gingerbread on the side is nice too!
MMmmmm.....

It has started!

The count down for Christmas has started!

I should have written this post yesterday as we lit the first of four candles yesterday, as there are now 4 Sundays before Christamas.
But I was away at a fair all day and half through the day I was starting to feel very poorly. At the end of the I felt so bad I just went to bed straight away when I got home.
But I felt a lot better this morning, well that was until I looked outside the window. It was snowing so much, AGAIN, and the forecast is saying more is still to come! Oh no!!!! We haven´t had this much snow at this time a year before so it looks like winter is here to stay for a LONG time. Sigh...

Update!

It is nice to be back home after the show in England. I had a wonderful time and it was great to see and speak to so many collectors and friends. But I really need a rest now with Christmas coming up soon...:D

Ready or not...

Well the day has come when I have to be ready or not to fly to England. I am off early, oh so early..., in the morning to Copenhagen for my flight to Manchester. I am hoping to do some Christmas shopping on the Saturday, yhheee.
I really looking forward to this show in Sheffield on Sunday and if you are coming to the show, please stop by and say hello!

Not nameless anymore

Santas Helper

I have been working on this little guy for some time now. I had to make him ready to travle with me to the show in Sheffield.
As you can see, he is Santas helper....his Christmas sack is all packed with presents for all the young teddy bears.
I haven´t named him yet so the poor thing is without name for now. But he will be available for adoption at "The Great Teddybear Show".

Well there are still things to be done before next weekend so I better go and do that...

A little preview!

Not much going on...

I am still working on the bears that are coming with me to the show in Sheffield, UK soon. There will be a preview off the bears but I am not sure at the moment when it will be....maybe next week. Any of you planning to visit the show?

Every now and again...

Everyone..this is Cady a new bear!
I have had some fun playing with my patterns and this bear is what I created after some time. I really like her and I think she is a cross between a prim and a anime bear?! What do think?
It is nice to do something different every now and again and I enjoyed doing this.
She is up for adoption on my website and you can read more about her there.
I would love to hear your thoughts about Cady!

All done!

It has been a very nice sunny Sunday today. And it is a special date too, 10.10.10!

I am happy to say that the bears for the online show are done! Yes, all done!:D
And I am allowed to put a sneak peek on my blog too! But sorry, you have to wait a couple of day for that.....
In the meantime you can mark your calenders for the 6th and 7th of November as that is the dates for the online show. It is going to be a great show with lots of wonderful bears!

A little bear...

I am so busy prepering for the 2 shows coming up VERY soon. Sometimes I wonder if I will be done in time....
So if it is long between the posts here you know what I am up to! LOL


Anyhow...I have a little bear to show you that was an order for a collector in England. Joel is on his way now to his new mum and I hope she will be pleased with him.

Just found out!

You might remember some time ago when I told you about the URSA Awards that I won...Well this morning I woke up to see that Isobel actually won second place in her category!!!!!

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that vote for her! I am so greatful and I can´t thank you enough! I am so happy about this.

Please meet Hanna my latest bear!






She is made off a lovely Schulte mohair. Her best friend is Jack the crow that is sitting on her arm. He can fly away anytime as he is easy to remove.
I was in a Halloween mood creating her and I hope you like her as much as I did making her! Hanna is a bit more orange in the fur then in the photos.

Miss C

It is my oldest daugthers birthday tomorrow. Miss C is turning 15!!!
I can´t believe it, the time since she was born has passed so quickly. It feels like yesterday we took her to the swings, she learned how to ride her bike and she played with her little dolls.
Time is flying so fast and now and again I just want to slow it down just a tiny bit....

Oh no....

It is going to be some busy months for me now. It hit me today that we are in the end of August....beginning of Septemeber...and that means, only about 4 month to Christmas!
Aaaahhhh!
I need more time, 4 month feels so little.

I have 2 shows in November to prepare for, one online and one in Sheffield, UK.
I was contacted some time ago from a company (Australia) raising money for cancer. They wondered if I would be interested in doing a charity bear for them. Yes of course, so watch out for this anybody living down under.

Then there is the Hugglets show in February next year. I will not be going over for the show now in September, I wish I was, but there is just not enough time for me to do that show too. Sorry...
So, can you see that I am going to be a busy bee until Christmas (and a bit after)!
But I love to make my bears so I don´t mind. I just hope that I will have every thing done in time! LOL

Already?

Has Autumn come already? Are the days getting shorter, darker and is it raining more?
Doesn´t it feel a little bit colder?
I think it does....

When I walk in the woods I can hear the changes in the birds song and the colours on the leaves from the trees are not so green, they are changing too.
The sun doesn´t shine as strong in the evenings anymore.

But please don´t get me wrong....I do like Autumn. I love all the wonderful colours in the nature, the cosiness I have on the sofa with all the candles burning when the rain is pouring down outside.

But at the same time I can´t help getting a bit down knowing it is going to be some time before spring will knock on my door again.
For now...I am going to enjoy the last of the suns warmth before it is time to say goodbye to the summer for this time.

I am so happy!

It was a big surprise to wake up this morning to find out that Isobel had made it to the final in the URSA competition. So now she is in the second round of voting.

I am VERY greatful to all of you out there who voted for her in the first round of voting so a BIG THANK YOU, I wish I could hug you all!!!!!

A wonderful time!

I haven´t any new bears to show you yet but there will be one available soon. As some as you know, I have been off work and on holiday. We went to the UK to see my husbands family.
We had a wonderful time and the weather wasn´t too bad....:O).
One of the places we went to was Ironbridge near Birmingham. It is truly an amazing, beautiful place with lots of factories, workshops and canals.
We didn´t have time to see it all but one place we visit was the Victorian Town, and I just loved it.
I took some photos, not so good ones, but I hope you can see all its beauty.














I went to some car boots too and found a wonderful pram from the 1920´s. I paid £5 for it and I think that was a bagin!
An other thing I found was an old box with some teddy bears on the lid, absolut beautiful...so I was pleased with that.

It is nice to be back though and I will start working on my bears again. All I can say for now is that I am in a pink mood, so please pop back soon for an update!
